A Nightmare Arises

Silo: is asleep

The next morning,it's sprinkling.

Cheyanne walks out of her tent to see Tegan sitting in front of his tent doing what looks like crying.She knew what was wrong and walks over. Tegan,it'll be ok.

Selena: comes out of the tent carrying silo

Selena: looks at tegan..she felt badd for him...she sits silo down and walks over....trying not to hurt her ankle more

Cheyanne notices how wet he is and wonders if he was outside in the rain last night. Tegan,how long have you been out here?

For a few minutes,Tegan is silent.He doesn't answer Cheyanne's question,but says, It was like seeing her die again...

Cheyanne is now silent.

Tegan Reliving that day... He looks at Cheyanne. I'd hoped it was only a nightmare...

Selena: wishes she could help him somehow

Selena; tegan are you okay?

Selena: tegan?! you could tell she was worried

He needs to say something lik...dont tell me it will be okay! you have no idea what this is like! your daughetr is back! why cant mine be! and then he could also say something about how he wished it was the other way around (because he is delusional from staying up all night)

Tegan No,it won't be ok! You don't know what it's like to watch your daughter die a second time with no way to help!...Your daughter is back,but it's obvious that's not an option for mine... He,nearly to where you can't hear,says, If it were the other way around,maybe then you'd know... He looks at the ground.Tegan is holding something so tightly it's making his hand bleed.

Cheyanne Tegan's just not thinking...He's been up all night and- She stops and picks up a bottle next to Tegan.Cheyanne sighs. There's also this possibility.

Tegan takes the bottle. I'm not drunk. He glares at her.

Cheyanne I beg to differ.

Tegan Hmph.Say what you want,but I'm not drunk.

Silo: whispers almost silently in selena's ear ^he hates me^
Selena: well...tegan....I was going to try and help you with this but you make silo uncomfortable so....just.....forget about it

Cheyanne sets the bottle down and looks at Tegan. I know this is hard for you Tegan,but hurting someone else won't make things better.Neither will- She watches as Tegan bursts into tears.

Tegan Just get it over with...

Cheyanne What do you mean?

Tegan What do you think? Kill me! Just kill me now! I've lost everything!

Cheyanne You have not!

Tegan looks at Cheyanne. I can't take it anymore! I've lost all I can handle!

Selena: had walked off with silo

Tegan looks away.He'd stopped crying by now. Please...

Cheyanne sits in front of Tegan and makes him look her in the eyes. No,I don't know how it really feels but I can't even begin to imagine the pain you must feel.But you've gotten through this before,Tegan.You can get through it again.You think you have nothing to live for,but you're wrong.You risked your life to save mainly Silo.It's obvious she means something to you.You saved Selena from the wolf that nearly got her.You were fighting off two wolves when you did that.Doing that,you let them get you.I can tell you love her.Your brother.You'd hurt him by leaving.Our group would fall into chaos,just like this world,without you.And...Live for your daughter.She'd want you to... She sighs and stands. We're leaving in a few hours. She walks off to find food.

Tegan holds the stuffed wolf.He looks at it,moving his hand through the velvet soft fur.Tegan's hand stops on the necklace around it's neck.He thinks of the day she asked him...

It was the first night in a long time stars were in the sky. "Daddy,do you ever think that a safer world is possible in the future? One where we won't have to worry about the Trackers?
Tegan sighs,smiling at the thought. "I'm sure one day it'll happen.Someone just needs to stand up to them.Make a group that could track them down as they do us."
She looks at Tegan. "What about you?"
"I have you to worry about..." Tegan watches the sky.
"Oh..."

Tegan squeezes the stuffed wolf,not knowing he is. ^I'll be that person...I promise you...^

Selena: sigh and sits against a tree

Tegan looks around.No one is near.He gets up and grabs his crossbow.Tegan walks off into the city.

Later.

Cheyanne Time to leave.Anyone see Tegan after I left?

Everyone shakes their heads no.

Cheyanne Great. -.- He ran off.

Tegan I'm right here. He harshly pushes a person.They stumble forward and land on their knees.Their hands are tied behind their back and they look like they've been in a brutal fight.Tegan looks somewhat more hurt than he was,but only because of cuts.

The person glares at Tegan. You'll pay for this!

Tegan I don't think anyone will dare attack knowing one of their own is in danger.

Selena: looks up and thn looks back at the ground

Cheyanne Who is this?

Tegan Dillon.He's a Tracker.

Cheyanne You're nuts!
