Everyone follows Voltaire through the forest.The number of trees becomes less and less until there's nothing left but just a field.Ahead the city awaits,still and without life.So different than it once was.To some,it's surprising the humans would leave this all behind.They would've made it for so long.

Derryl thinks back to when he was just a pup.The forest beautiful with many different plants and animals.He starts to remember the day his mother brought him back a flower.As the days went on,the flower had lost it's petals.

"But momma...Why did it lose it's petals?"
She smiled at him.Her voice was soft and calm. "It's how life is,my dear.Something lives,dies and helps another thing live.There's no way of stopping it.That flower.It lived to let us admire it's beauty,for many it would have been food,and died to help something else live."
Derryl tilted his head. "What about when we die? What happens to us?"
"There's many things that could happen.We may become a superior predator's food or we may just be left to become part of the earth."
"What do you mean,momma?"
"When you die,your body will...decompose.But when that happens,our bodies become part of the soil to help the plants around us grow.We become part of them."
"Really?"
"Really.Now how about we go see Dugal?"
"Yea!"

Derryl sighs and stares at the ground as he walks.

Hyram Look...

Everyone follows Hyram's gaze.A single flower lay in the middle of the brown grass,stem green and petals pure white.

Derryl sighs.

Yuri hadn't spoke at all since Voltaire and the others left to get Saba and Sage until now. It's beautiful!
