Bone lays beside her. It's not even cold outside.

River: it isn't? (She has a fever)

Bone No.

River: oh......well...

Bone looks at her and gets up. You could be sick...

River: its just infection....f-from the scratch...its not contagious....she starts shivering worse

Bone You are. Infections don't make you cold.

River: but they do cause fever.....which would explain why I'm cold

Bone Fever isn't an infection.

River: fine....just....fine bone....you can tell she is annoyed

Sira just walked in. He's right, it's a sickness.

river: says nothing

Sira And you won't be out of this den until you're well. So just lay down and rest.

River: nods....she is still shivering, she lays her head on her paws

Sira looks at Bone. And we certainly can't afford you to be sick. Now shoo.

Bone But I'd like to-

Sira Whatever it is can wait, I'm sure. If it regards Lyanori, you may stay but otherwise you leave.

Bone sighs and walks out of the den. He looks around, noticing it had gotten darker. Sunset was nearing. He walks to the lake alone.

River: falls asleep

The next morning.

Zeph is trying to drag something in Sira's den.

Sira What are you doing?

Zeph grunts, using all his strength only to get what he's dragging to move only a small bit. He's either fat or he has too much muscle...

Sira Who?

Zeph Just come help me...

Sira walks over. Oh my...

River: what is going on?

Zeph and Sira drag a body inside the den. It was Bone.

Sira works on healing him.

Zeph Who could've done this? Bone is the best fighter I've ever seen.

Sira Looks like there might've been a few wolves holding him down though. I see a few pieces of fur that aren't even white. Grey here, black here and brown here.

Zeph It took three wolves to hold him down?

Sira So it seems. But I see no signs of struggle... That's the strange thing.

Zeph Why wouldn't he try to fight back?

Sira shrugs. Maybe he was depressed or something and didn't care.

Zeph Actually... That could be. I did notice every time he went to the lake he seemed depressed.

Sira Could be something to do with his past.

Lyanori You know?

Zeph Everyone knows. We just keep it a secret so it doesn't make him think we hate him.

Bone says weakly, You still should've told me.

Sira Quiet. Don't use what little energy you have left. I must tend to all these wounds anyways.

Bone looks at her. I am not weak. He slowly rolls onto his side and tries to get up, wincing.

Sira Bone, please..

River: forces herself to stand walks over and nuzzles him, please lay down

Bone looks at her. He sighs and lays down.

Zeph looks at him, surprised.

Bone What?

Zeph You didn't fight her when she told you to lay down.

Bone's ear twitches and he lays his head down over his paws.

River: lays back down

Sira heals him the best she can. It'll take some time, but you'll be fine.

River: had fallen asleep once she knew he would be okay
