Koda keeps running until he trips and falls into a shallow stream. Shaking his fur, he stands up and looks around before he takes off down the stream, wading through the water

Rain runs along the bank and jumps in.She pulls him to shore and sets him down.In the mud,she writes, I don't want anything to happen to you...The same thing happened to my pups.They thought they could take care of themselves.I was so angry,I let them go...They died.

Koda pins his ears back and sighs I'm sorry about what happened to your pups. My parents were killed a few months ago, and I'm sure all of us have felt some sort of loss to the disease. But, I am more than just a pup. I can hunt and fight enough to keep myself and three others alive. I guess sometimes I just need to remember I'm not invincible.
