Shaded & Jaded

Keynai I won't let him do anything to you if he decides to try anything.

William crooses his legs in the large chair and tries to find his page in the book.

Alianna: Soon, I come across the book resting on the small table. It has an old leather cover with no words. Upon opening and skimming through, I could see that many different people had handwritten the content. The were still blank pages toward the back though.

Katie: Thank you. 


Blake: I  resist laughing as I hear them. The very idea was quite amusing to me.

William continues looking through.

Keynai No problem.

Alianna: I sit on the floor and begin reading the book. 

Katie: I walk quietly looking to the ground. Knowing that Blake is back worries me.

Keynai I know it's not my place to ask, but did he hurt you? He opens the exit door for Katie.

Katie: I walk out the exit and quietly voice my simple reply. Yes.

Katie: I notice Keynai's fists clenching and unclenching. You don't need to be angry.

Keynai I don't like it when men hurt women.

Abbie: sure *smiles* today has been a lot of fun by the way

Zane: I give Abbie some grapes. Yeah, it has been a fun day. I smile.

Katie: I don't like when people hurt one another in any case. There is no way to stop people from their vicious ways, though. In time, I understood this, but a girl can dream of a happy world.

Abbie: *pops a couple in my mouth to make myself look like a chipmunk and then giggles* squeak squeak!

Keynai If it's in self defense, I don't find it a problem. You have to be able to protect yourself in some way. The world isn't a safe place, never has been and probably never will be. With the way people are, there's always going to be something stupid that'll give them a reason to fight eachother. He looks at her. I've been in enough to know, but none that I'd started.

Katie: I guess self defense is n-

Blake: I silently come up behind them and grab Katie. I pick her up and run. Katie is light enough that she doesn't slow me down much, though she is resisting against me. You know, red is a much better color on you.

Katie: I went rigid as I thought of the memory. Blake stood over me as I lie on the ground shaking. There was shattered glass all around, and I was cut pretty bad. Blake just grinned at me and said, "If you wouldn't have tried your pathetic attempt to fight back, you wouldn't be hurt as bad. But red is a much better color on you."

Zane: I laugh lightly. That's cute.

Abbie: h'm, I would be a cute rodent......

Zane: Or a person.

Abbie: how many other girls do you compliment like this Zane?

Zane: None.

Abbie: *blushes a bit and pops another grape in her mouth*

Zane: I smile a little as I see her blush and eat a few more grapes.

Abbie: wanna watch me dance again? I have to practice

Zane: Sure. Do you mind if I check on Peyton quickly, though?

A guy: I see Blake pass and Keynai chasing after. I run and tackle Keynai from the side.

Blake: I keep running, heading for an empty building. Once inside, I toss Katie on the ground.

Katie: I hit the ground on my side. He was grinning down at me with an infuriating expression. I try to get to my feet, but Blake kicks me square in the back. I clench my jaw in pain.

Blake: Come on, Katie, you should put up more of a fight than this.

Katie: You shouldn't pick on those weaker than you. I stand up after a second and face him. That was a mistake because the next thing I see is his fist coming at my face, but I shield my face with my arms.

Blake: If you don't like it, stop me, little rich girl. Daddy shouldn't have coddled you so much.

Katie: I am so sick of hearing that! I run at him, but he slams me into a wall causing me to hit my head.

Abbie: of course I don't mind

Zane: I nod and walk to the common room. Peyton is just sitting on the couch.

Peyton: I look up as Zane approaches. What?

Zane: What's wrong, Pey?

Peyton: I shake my head. Nothing. I am not always running around you know.

Zane: You're upset.

Peyton: So what if I am. I stand up and walk off.

Zane: I sigh, letting her go.
